Animal Family Veterinary Care Center is a family-centered veterinary clinic that offers high-quality care and high-tech equipment designed specifically for the needs of your pet.
We are AAHA-accredited— The AAHA Standards of Accreditation are widely held as the measure of excellence in Veterinary Medicine. Fewer than 15% of all practices qualify for AAHA accreditation.
New veterinary technology— We review and update both our standards of care and instrumentation to stay current with the latest advances in the industry.
Laser and electrocautery surgical equipment— Surgical laser offers several advantages over conventional techniques. It delivers a precise incision with decreased tissue trauma, blood loss, and pain. Laser is without question the best available surgical tool for exotic patients. Electrocautery provides another surgical cutting instrument that is fast and results in little blood loss compared to a blade.
Digital radiography— Advanced digital radiography provides us with images of your pet within seconds. The resulting picture can be enlarged and enhanced without further exposure of your pet to harmful x-rays, is immediately downloaded into your pet’s file, and can be e-mailed or installed on a CD within seconds for transfer to another veterinary facility if need be.
Veterinary training/certification— We are committed to providing continuing education for all of our doctors and staff.
Advanced pet dental care— Dental care is key to providing your pet with a long and high-quality life. We offer an extensive dental care program for your pet, as well as an array of dental care products.
Pain management— Patient comfort is a top priority at Animal Family Veterinary Care Center. We think of our patients as family and, as such, all pets receive appropriate pain control for their medical conditions, as well as pre- and post-operative pain management, whatever the surgical procedure they require.
Chiropractic care— Animal Family Veterinary Care Center is pleased to announce a new service to our spectrum of care. Meredith Evans, DVM is now certified to provide veterinary Chiropractic care
Anesthesia— We have the very latest in surgical monitoring equipment that a certified veterinary technician continuously checks during all procedures in the surgical suite. Experienced technicians will monitor your pet throughout the pre- and post-operative period. This allows the doctor to focus on what’s important: the surgery itself.
Exotic pet care— Animal Family Veterinary Care Center has two veterinarians on staff trained in exotic animal care. Dr. Van Buer sees a wide variety of animals, including those at the nearby Niabi Zoo. Dr. Garro sees exotic mammals. We make certain that our doctors stay up to date with continuing education that focuses on the special needs of exotics.
Pet boarding and grooming— We think we have the best dog groomer in town! Bring your pet in and find out for yourself. We are also proud of our boarding facilities and the staff that keeps them clean and pleasant for your pet.
Camp canine - our doggie day care Animal Family “Camp Canine” is just what the Doctor ordered! Camp Canine is a doggie day care that offers a safe place to socialize your 4-legged family members.
Puppy training— We don’t stop our commitment to your pet with medicine. Animal Family puppy classes focus on the socialization and good behavior it takes to develop a lifelong and loving bond with your dog.
Online store and pet pharmacy— We know how busy you are. That’s why Animal Family Veterinary Care provides an online pharmacy and pet store for your convenience.
