I am only giving them 2 stars because our family member did receive good medical care but the ridiculousness that followed almost over shadowed that. If you have a family member on medicaid DO NOT tak e them here. When it was time for her to move to long term hospice we were lied to about her transportation and told that her previous nursing home was being unreasonable and wouldn't take her back. The truth is Harry Hynes refused to transport her there even though their contract with medicaid says they are responsible. There were other things said that seemed directed toward causing confusion among the family, telling one person one thing then telling another the opposite. The social worker told us she would call and let us know things then not a word. The only reason we found out anything is because we were constantly calling and dropping by. These were not misunderstandings, we've had them confirmed with her previous residence and her insurance. Our family member is not elderly, shes mother to a 9 year old so this was traumatic enough. Then to have them pull this stuff is "deplorable" as I told them.
It is so refreshing to see a provider that you can tell truly cares about their patients. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated. They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I was amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my Mother's well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased. They walk you through everything you need to know.They not only care for the patient but the family too.
