I was very impressed with Rice Lake Hospice. They knew just how to help my mother remain comfortable in her last days. Everyone we came into contact with were very kind and caring. Some sang to her. Some played piano music for her (she was a pianist). Some prayed with her. Some held her hand. But all treated her with dignity and respect. Along with caring for her they cared for the family offering continual support and guiding us through the process of losing someone we loved very much. Thank you is not enough gratitude for what gave our family!

The hospice services provided to our family at the time of my husband's death were HORRIBLE! I was on the phone with the on-call nurse for 1 1/2 hrs before my husband died, and it took the nurse 40 minutes after his death to get to our home! That night while on the phone with her, she actually said she thought he had about another week. She had no idea just how bad it was, and she certainly didn't get out of bed to come help me as she was supposed to!! He was only on hospice for 3 weeks, and I had told other workers of 2 issues we'd had, and they didn't even put them in his medical record nor follow up on them. My husband's death was horrible, he drowned in the fluids in his chest, and he really didn't deserve that. And he was only 48 at the time of his death from terminal stomach cancer. If I had it to do all over again, I'd go anywhere but to Lakeview Hospice.
