J. Antonio G. López, MD, is a cardiologist, lipidologist, and hypertension specialist at Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Heart Care in Boise, Idaho. He is currently Director of Preventive Cardiology and Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, Director of the Lipid Clinic, and Director of the LDL Apheresis Program at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. He is the Immediate Past Chair of Cardiology at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. In addition, he is the Chair of Cardiovascular Research and Education, Director of the Hypertension Consultation Service and Director of the Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) Program at Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Heart Care. His previous experience includes serving as both Director of the Lipid Clinic and Director of Cardiovascular Outpatient and Outreach Programs at the University of Iowa. Dr. López was Director of Cardiac Care and the Coronary Care Unit at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. He was also Medical Director of Preventive Cardiology, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, the Lipid Clinic and Prevention Center at the Prairie Heart Institute in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. López previously served on the faculty of the University of Iowa, the University of California at San Diego, and Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. López received his medical degree Cum Laude from Harvard Medical School. At Harvard, he received the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation Merit Scholar Award. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at the University of California, Los Angeles. He was a Research Fellow in the cardiac unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. They didn't help m
