My experience, based on thousands of hours of clinical practice, is that no single theory or treatment approach is "the best" for everyone. And that is true both for individual therapy as well as couples counseling.

Some styles work better or worse given each client's unique needs and background. My approach is to draw from the various schools of evidence-based treatments and provide care based on your specific situation. In selecting from a number of types of treatment, my approach is eclectic. And in focusing on what works and is effective for you, my treatment is pragmatic.
