This was the most unprofessional and unkempt salon I've ever been to. I was directed to go upstairs to see my stylist. I'm not sure of the atmosphere on the first floor but the second floor service is TERRIBLE. Upon arrival you are barely acknowledged or greeted but received with stares of suspicion. The waiting area is occupied by friends or acquaintances lounging on the couch (at times stretched out sleeping)swapping stories laced with profanity. Profanity and loud music are a regular at this salon. Stylists or shampoo girls have no consideration for your time as you are kept waiting with no word that you'll be attended to shortly as they chat along. Their conversations take precedence over you when you clearly see there is no one being shampooed. Infact, my color was overdone because my stylist was attending to her conversation and not my color processing. Not to mention your safety could be jeopardized at any moment as arguments between stylists and/or customers get so heated that it ultimately led to a brawl. Expect to be there for 5-6 hours and don't even bother trying to book an early morning appointment to avoid the wait. They'll always tell you they're not busy when you ask for a more convenient, less crowded appointment. However, you'll arive to 6 or 7 people ahead of you. They overbook to get as much money as they can since customer turnover is high. You'll notice repeat customers are friends/acquaintances just as unprofessional as they are. Also, stylists will take breaks without the courtesy of informing you or you'll arrive to find out your stylist is presently gone to attend a personal matter for hours without prior notification via text or call. In retrospect, I patronized it longer than I should because my stylist was a great stylist. Bottom line, if you enjoy a Jerry Springer-type environment, where anything goes including your safety, coarse language, and spending 5-6 hours of your valuable time at a salon, this is the place for you. If not, I suggest you keep it moving to another salon.
