Their office was kind of gross. I was scared I was going to catch something from being in the office. They charged me so much for a very simple beauty treatment. I couldn't believe how ridiculous their prices were. I was very unimpressed with their level of skill. It seemed like they had just started yesterday. The first thing I noticed as soon as I walked in was how filthy their entire facility was. I couldn't believe that they would keep it that dirty. I was completely distressed during my appointment. I was unable to relax and ended up having to leave.
DO NOT EVER, even if it were the last place on earth, get any kind of service performed at this substandard salon. I would rather cut my own hair than be subjected to the abuse that Bonnie inflicted upon my hair.
**I must clarify that this is the CLAREMORE, OK salon. NOT the Nowata salon.

I made a random appointment at SHEAR DELIGHT. I asked the lady to trim my hair in a long layer, she proceeded to cut around 8" in a short layer cut.
On the 20th of December I had an appt. with a lady named Jamie. I've never seen her before nor have I been to this shop in at least 4+ years and that visit was only once. I did not ask for Jaime when I called to make the appt., I have never met this lady. When I arrived I was early and Jaimie was busy. Since there was another lady that was free I asked if she would mind trimming my hair. Her name was Bonnie. I did not get the last names of either one of these two women.
I emphasized to Bonnie that I simply wanted a trim. Just a little nip off of the ends. I knew it would only take a few minutes because I did not want it washed or styled, just minimally trimmed in a long layer cut. I have been licensed as a cosmetologist for 13+ years and this cut is VERY simple. My hair was down to my waist and that was the way I wanted it to stay. This lady, Bonnie, proceeded to cut at least 8" off of my hair, if not more. It was at my shoulders when I left the shop. As well as cutting off all of my hair she also cut my hair in a short layer, totally different than long layering. She gapped it in numerous places. She totally ruined my hair that I have been trying to grow out for a very long time. I cannot grow hair very quickly because I have Lupus (SLE). It will take me years to grow it back to the length it was before her monstrous haircut. I was/am utterly, completely and wholly devastated beyond words! My husband and I were going to the ballet on the 12/22/12 and this was also right before the holidays. Sadly my ugly, horrible hair completely ruined my outfit, my self-esteem and my Holiday spirit. This has stressed me out so horribly that I have been literally ill ever since. In fact, I am just now somewhat recovering from the devastating effects that the stress has caused me. I have been so completely stressed since I lost my hair that this has caused me to have a lupus flair as well as other unrelated health issues due to the horrible act that this lady commited on my innocent hair.
Even though I wanted to cry I still tipped her, she was utterly shocked and the look of surprise is something I will never forget. I know that she knew she didn't deserve to be paid the price that she charged me for the monstrosity of a haircut that she bestowed me much less a tip. However, I ALWAYS tip everyone, no matter what, because I believe wholeheartedly in Karma. I have to say that this was either an intentional malicious and spiteful act or she seriously needs to lose her license. No one should be a practicing and licensed hair stylist when they have no clue how a long layer cut or a trim is done. If she did this to be ugly she should have her license stripped immediately. No one should be able to touch another human if they cannot control their ugly feelings.
Consumer's Desired Resolution:
I want others to know what type of people work in this business. I hope to save them from the heartache, stress and horror I have had to endure. I think in all fairness Bonnie should be severely reprimanded and or lose her cosmetology license. Her salon/chair is not a safe place for anyone to sit and have their hair cut.She is an iniquitous, loathsome cancer on the face of all hairstylists who attempt to do their job ethically and morally.I DO NOT want this to happen to anyone else. It should not have to if the right actions are taken to remove this woman from a pair of scissors and the general public.
