My mother has lived at Well-Spring for 13 yrs. If you're in independent living, it's GREAT. (And yes, expensive!) But Lord help you when you start needing help that is perhaps not the usual broken hip, stroke, etc. That's my mom right now; & while she's still capable of independent living, Well-Spring is doing such a poor job of fulfilling their promises to her that I wonder if they'd rather just push her on into Assisted Living and focus on their growth & marketing. True, Well-Spring's Assisted wing is clean & does NOT smell...but you still don't want to be there if you don't have to be. As the family member who is her advocate, I am supremely disappointed in Well-Spring's Home Care (only seem interested in billing for hours), + several other key staff members involved, + Dr. Tiffany Reed, the geriatric doctor who has a relationship with Well-Spring for their residents.
Wellspring is an exceptional retirement community. Clean, beautiful accomodations with excellent staff, attention to residents and an amazing variety of services and facilities at very competitive prices. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated by every resident that I met. The food is wonderful ... very important to seniors!! The amenities are outstanding and without equal in the Greensboro area.
