The place is a mess! They don't have enough aides to handle the patients load . Patients are constantly asking for help at night and you can't find a aide . The poor aides are worked to the bone, nurses are glorified pill pushers . I must say , it's clean .... The food isn't fit for a dog . They continually lie when mistakes are made and cover up mistakes . The administrator is a politician kissing little old ladies opposed to babies . The state and ombudsman has been called on them several times . I wouldn't put my cat in this facility . I removed my mother since she was always wet upon visiting her . It looks nice on outside and inside , but the care is awful . Management is always covering their mistakes .... Sad they treat older people this way . The owners just keep getting rich . The elderly suffer and the poor aides . The employees are constantly leaving and director of nursing is like a revolving door . Dereck will tell you anything to get you to take a room . It's a sick environment ! They should be ashamed . The administrator looks like he sleeps in a tanning bed , with piano teeth . He will act as if he really cares but he is always making excuses !

I am very pleased to have my mother in Walnut Creek. The place is extremely clean and well taken care of. I have been there several times in the last month and each time I am always impressed. I even had lunch there with my mother and the food was very good and nutricious. The staff is the best. They are always helpful and very kind. I get a phone call everytime she has to see a Doctor or get some type of health care. Everything is explained to me and asked if I have any questions. I could not find a better place to have my mother. I feel she is getting good care and I really feel I don't have to worry about her care. I checked out several other nursing homes before I decided on Walnut Creek. If you are considering a nursing home do yourself a big favor and visit them. They are more than happy to show you around. Walnut Creek is also very secure. There is no way that a resident can get out and wonder around. This is especially a big concern for a senior with Alzheimers or Dimentia.
