I was horrified at how badly they treated their staff members. I felt so bad for all of them. It made me lose a lot of respect for them. Their equipment was ancient. By the looks of it I wouldn't be surprised if they've never replaced any of it. One thing that I don't appreciate, is that they close exactly at their scheduled time whether someone needs help or not. I can't count on them to help me if I show up even a couple of minutes past their closing time. They didn't tell me very much about my treatments' risks and benefits. I still felt like I had to do my own research. They probably could have used some continuing education courses to get up-to-date on more current methods.

I have been impressed so many times by this nursing home taking the time to really treat their guests well on major holidays. It is always amazing to me how friendly the staff are and always willing to help. My grandmother has dimesia and has no clue what is going on but they always treat her with respect. I am glad my grandmother is here at Shawnee Care.
