I have family in this nursing home and I'm not a happy camper. The resident in their care (a member of my family) has been poorly cared for with respect to hygiene and feedings. There doesn't seem to be enough staff to care for these elderly folks who can't care for themselves. My loved one was wearing two pullups (diapers) which is highly against the rules!!! And on other occasions found sitting in a chair with a urine-soaked towel underneath them and the staff said they were out of clean pads. It has ruined the chair (personal property) and suggests to me that funds are not available for the needed supplies or that the staff is not adequate for the number of residents they house. Or the staff they do have is just plain LAZY!!! I suspect, it's a combination of the three because I've also seen a staff member sitting on the couch in the lobby for extended periods - playing with his phone.

Feeding assistance is not always available either and at times, residents are left unattended, in groups at the tables.

The blatant smell of urine as soon as you walk in the door, is an indication of the kind of care they are getting.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I know that there are some very good workers/nurses & CNA's there. I've seen that also. But there are some that are -not so much-. The bad apples spoil it for all, it makes the good ones want to leave and makes it difficult for all.
