My Husband has been at Maple leaf going on 4 years. I think it is one of the best care homes that I have seen. The staff are wonderful to all even the family. I would and have recommended Maple Leaf to many people looking for a good home for their love one

My grandfather stayed here for about 2 months. In that time he contracted multiple infections (that he did not have when entering) and that is to be expected at times, but the standards of hygiene were very poor. Nurses left a note that those entering should wear appropriate robes and gloves, however they did not take these precautions (nor did I see them wash their hands between patients). There were multiple times that people visited (and someone visited at least once a day) in which my grandfather was sitting in his own fecal matter. They are understaffed. There were some nurses who cared and the rehabilitation staff was really good at their jobs, however ultimately getting an infection is what led to the quick deterioration of my grandfather. They were also not very personable. No one got to know him, or really offer him anything that interested him. Overall, we had a poor experience.
