My mom was a patient for a few hours starting in the afternoon. At 5:45 AM the next morning she had a stroke and was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth.

They never called to let me know.

The hospital called me at 10:20 AM, almost 5 hours later. They said someone "tried" to contact me, so I checked for missed calls at home, work and on my cell. No calls from them.

They did make sure her Medicare was charged for a full day.

Needless to say, I will never recommend this facility. I am going to contact Medicare and let them know what happened and see if we can dispute the one-day charge.
