My mother passed away at this facility. She had Alzheimer's with severe behaviors and was there for over 5 years. I visited almost daily and I am amazed at these reviews. I never saw neglect or abuse or anything else. Quite to the opposite, I saw staff sit and talk with residents despite the resident's confusion. I saw staff walking the hallways hand in hand with residents because it was comforting. I often saw staff work as a team, without regard for who was assigned to who, to care for residents and family's as best as they could. No where is perfect. Sometimes there was a smell, sometimes the food was cold and bland, sometimes my mother had to wait to be cared for because something else was taking the staff's time, sometimes the room was in disarray or whatever the sometime was, but the staff always responded to these issues in a manner that I considered very appropriate and in a way that demonstrated to me that THEY CARED FOR MY MOTHER! She was not just an assignment, or even a resident, she was my mother and they treated her as if she was their mother too. I found a lot of comfort in the stories the staff shared as they each came to pay their respects once she had passed. They cried with me and I laughed with them. My mother may not have given birth to them but she loved the staff and they became my brothers and sisters. Because they were family they also took care of me and my family, always asking how I/we were doing; always offering to get coffee or food when I visited; always responding to my requests as quickly as they could and understanding when I became frustrated. They got to know me and my family. When they say you become family at Foundation Park, they really mean it. I still see some of the staff when I'm out and around town and they ask how I am. I would like to specifically thank Sylvia, Jacob, Judy (Amazing!), Vanessa, Theresa, Kathy, Mara, Virginia and everyone else that I can't think of right now but you know that Alzheimer's runs in my family! I would recommend this facility to anyone that needs help with a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's and if the need arises I will go there.

Do not bring your loved ones to this facility. It is the worst nursing home facility I have ever seen. The employees (I wouldn't call them nurses, or doctors) are terrible and are rude to the patients and their families. I have witnessed them on numerous occassions yelling and screaming at patients who can't remember wich room they are in. (Lets remember they are alzheimer patients). I have also walked in on an employee filling his pockets with snacks from a patients dresser drawer. Foundation Park Dementia Care Center should be shut down. If it were possible this place would get 0 stars from me.
