Beware admission process. You will be asked to bring a check for the deductible but if your addict isn't employed a loved one will be put on the spot to sign the financial responsibility form or the addict won't be admitted. My quote was 2200.00 and the final bill was 6008.00. The billing department just keeps telling me what the insurance company paid for instead of telling me why my quote was so far off of the final bill. And my son said everyone graduating had bills at least twice the quote. Oh and his counselor was fired for being arrested three weeks after his graduation which might explain why he really didn't get much out of the residential treatment. He is doing great in their IOP with a qualified counselor and I just want my money back

I am unable to use the official rating scale provided, because the rating I would give to this hospital is not listed as an option.

Serenity Lane used to be an excellent hospital and overall, both patients and staff who provided me with feedback about their experience at the time rated, and recommended it highly. The hospital enjoyed a very high standing in the community as well.

But in the past ten years, you hardly hear about it anymore. People who don't know any better assume that means nothing has changed, and it is still a treatment center they would recommend.

I myself knew it in the past, the eighties, and I also had the misfortune of being a patient there in the early 2000's. The experience on all levels was beyond what most people consider possible in reality.

I was completely unprepared for the experience, and the hospital was no longer recognizable as even closely the same as it used to be once. It was a very bad experience.
