Laura Rothman
Upon completing my graduate work, I entered an extensive five year training program in the area of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. The years in training at the Advanced Center for Psychotherapy in New York gave me a solid foundation in which to practice and see patients from many diverse backgrounds and problems. I am licensed in the states of New Jersey and New York and am a member of the NJ Clinical Social Work Journal.
Once a client contacts me,the first step is started. After the primary symptom are abated, if one decides to do so, we work further in exploring and understanding the importance of their external and internal world, choices, and past historical trends.
Recommendations and a treatment plan are discussed after an initial consultation. This mutual discussion helps to implement clarity to what our work would entail. This is a process that requires hard work and most of all courage.
