After 30 years of severe diplopia, Dr. Stager surgically eliminated this problem! His staff was helpful. Wait time hardly allowed time to sit down. Bedside manner is strictly professional with little chit chat. Had surgery in the morning & was knitting in the car on the way home before noon. Responded quickly to a possible problem & eliminated it before it began.

This provider has very little helpful information available online, and what they do have is hard to find. I had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment but I eventually got in. I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. They never mention anything about promotions when I'm there. I felt very rushed. They barely spent two minutes with me and almost completely ignored me. I couldn't believe how rude and inconsiderate they were. I showed up before their scheduled closing time and they said they were closing. They knew I needed help but they still decided to close early.

My Experience: When we started taking my daughter there at about 3 or 4, the staff was fairly cordial. As time and Appointments went on, the appointment in December 2010 is what did us in. Before that appt I got a call from their office asking if we could move the appt from the 24th to the 23rd to a earlier time, which was set already for several months. Although I understand people wanting to get out early for the holidays, this totally pissed me off, I'll explain. We live about 40 miles away from their office. We left early enough to give about 15 to 20 minutes cushion before the actual appt. time. Well, we got caught in a accident and couldn't get off the highway. I called the office and told them we are stuck in traffic and may be a little late, by about 5 or 10 minutes. (we all know that even if you get there on time, you pretty much ALWAYS wait about 30 minutes anyways before you get called in and then wait another 15 to 30 minutes before he gets to you). After I indicated my issue to the lady she got a short tone and stated, "Well, Dr. Stager is leaving at 1pm today". The tone of the voice sound she was irritated at me for doing this and being late. I proceeded to tell her that my family was nice enough to change our schedule to try and accommodate but her tone was still irritated at me. I then told her that I live 40 miles away an and doing the best I can but was going to be a little late. Um, there was no compassion from this woman that works the window at the office. I flat out told her that we are on our way and will be there shortly then abruptly hung up. Now, we got to the office about 3 to 4 minutes after the appt time of 12:00pm. I went up to the window, signed my daughter in and stared at her to see if I get her attention, when she finally looked at me, i proceeded to tell her that I didn't appreciate treating me (the patient) the way she did. She stated in a very stern irritated voice back at me, "I'M SORRY! BUT I HAVE A OFFICE TO RUN AND THE DR IS LEAVING AT 1PM!!!!!!!!!!." This is TOTAL lack of care for the patient. She was not sincere about ANYTHING my family did for their office so they could out of there for X-mas vacation. I'm not looking for anything but a sincere apology as we all mess up but her attitude towards me and my family totally unforgettable. Now once we got in the office. Dr. Stager COMPLETELY rushed the tests and stuff. His approach to my daughters eye condition was extremely aggressive and wasn't helping even when he figured out that what he was doing was not working. We since have gone to Dr. Catherine Chen in Plano and in just 2 months, my daughters eye went from 50/20 to 30/20. Um, why didn't Stager do anything like this in the 2 years we were bringing my daughter there? I do not feel that Stager's ethics and approaches are worth taking your child to.
