About Michael L. Johnson

We opened this clinic in June of 2003. Since that time we've helped thousands of people get well again. We've helped people heal from conditions that doctors at Mayo and Iowa City felt were untreatable. We've helped people heal from longstanding, chronic disorders that made it impossible for them to work or perform activities of daily living. They are now back to living life on their terms.

What do I like about my job? Each day I get to see little miracles of how the body can heal itself. To be honest, I get quite a rush when I can help a person that has a long-standing problem. There really isn't anything better than helping a person regain their health, especially if they have been suffering for a long time.

I believe in using an Integrative Treatment Approach, which means we use as many things as we can simultaneously to promote health and healing. For example, if someone had a truly severe problem we may combine the use of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, and supportive Nutritional Therapy all with the goal of facillitating healing on multiple levels.

This approach seems to be particularly effective with severe, chronic conditions.

I believe strongly in the power of choice. If you aren't aware of natural options its pretty hard for you to choose them. I believe in a healthy, moderate lifestyle, it's the best way to prevent problems. I believe in the curative and protective powers of nutrition and lifestyle change, these are the true agents of disease prevention.

There are many factors that go into a person's health and I feel it is my duty to help people realize their health potential in as many different ways as I can.
