We saw Dr. Sivo frequently for sick appointments at this practice. She was always kind and answered all of our questions, but the prognosis was always "it's viral, go home." The one time our child had an ear infection, she prescribed amoxicillin even though we informed her we had a family history of allergies to penicillin and our child broke-out in head-to-toe hives. After our 18 month well-baby appointment, the office tried to bill us for an ADHD examination explaining it was correct because that was the insurance code "they had always used." After months of phone calls between their billing office and our medical insurance company, the office finally refiled their claim under the correct code only after our insurance comany directly intervened. While the doctors are knowledgible and they could be erroring on the side of caution in their diagnosis, we felt we could do better.
