In my opinion, the patient care is very poor. My pharmacy requested a refill of my bio-identical hormones and an additional hormone. The pharmacy faxed the letter June 10th. The Doctor's office received the letter, put it in their database and then did nothing with it. I had to call to find out where my prescription was on June 17th since I was stopping by the pharmacy several times looking for my items. Come to find out my doctor, Dr. Visger, was on maternity leave -- they put the letter in their electronic system and did nothing. Then, on the afternoon of the 17th, I spoke to the nurse and later that day she left me a message that my prescription was called in and would be filled by that afternoon. I went to the pharmacy yet again, and they had one filled but not the other. The Doctor's office didn't fill it and didn't give any explanation or even let me know (by voicemail, letter or anything). I had to go to the doctor's office (on the 22nd) to get a nurse to call me (because the doctor's are just way too busy don't you know) and she had no explanation why one wasn't filled other than the doctor wanted me to wait until my "regular doctor" had come back off maternity leave (whenever that might be -- no one told me how long). Bet some man wouldn't have to wait for his viagra for his doctor to get back at some undetermined time. In my opinion, it is unconscionable that this doctor decided to ok half a prescription and not even inform me -- the patient --. I am making an appointment today with someone else. My healthcare is too important.
