i am only giving this ''doctor'' 1 star because its the lowest i can go.....this ''doctor'' and i use the term VERY loosely is responsible for for almost killing me and his total misdiagnosis is the reason i will be on a feeding tube the rest of my life...

in 2008 i woke up and noticed something wrong with my voice....i went to the bathroom mirror and looked in my mouth and noticed that my right tonsil was greatly enlarged yet my left tonsil was normal....
i gave it a few days to come down on its own but it didnt so i made an appt with ''dr'' miller....
i mentioned to him that i had done some research on the web and i thought i might have oral/tonsil cancer...his ''nurse''(once again loose term here) literally laughed in my face and said that she had never even heard of tonsil cancer...
i pointed out my huge right tonsil to ''dr'' miller because it was very easy to see it without the use of a camera or any other device....''dr'' miller informed me that it was nothing to worry about and proceeded to run a camera down my throat and informed me that i had inflamed vocal chords and prescribed me an inhaler that was for asthma...
i was told to make a follow up appt for 3 weeks later to see if it worked.....
fast forward 3 weeks and the camera was once again ran down my throat and i was told all looked fine(even though the right tonsil was STILL huge....i once again mentioned tonsil cancer and was once again told that i didnt have that and to not worry about the tonsil....since he was my pcp and supposedly a learned ''doctor'' i listened to him and put it to the back of my mind...
for the next year and a half the tonsil didnt get bigger, but it also didnt get smaller...now when i say it was huge i mean HUGE!!!! there is NO WAY IN HELL he didnt see it with his eyes and also with the camera....all of a sudden it started getting bigger and bigger...my wife made an appt with an AWESOME ENT in dec of 2010 and she diagnosed me in 5 minutes.guess what it was?? TONSIL CANCER... stage 4 with mets to base of tongue and soft pallet....i was in treatment the next week..i was admitted to the hospital and had a feeding tube, a trach, and a chemo port installed on the same day...i was given little chance of survival.....i endured 4 rounds of harsh chemo and 35 treatments of radiation that the radiation dr told me was the harshest radiation she had ever given to anybody in her long career...and NUMEROUS hospital stays for various illnesses ranging from e-coli to a hemmoridge in my throat 7 months after all treatment had ended.and a perforated esophagus ..i also had 30 hyperbaric oxygen treatments to try and heal a spot that was open due to radiation.

i am coming up on 4 years cancer free this coming june 21st.....but treatment has taken a HUGE toll on my quality of life....i have a hole in my neck from the trach. i can no longer eat or drink anything at all and ALL of my nourishment comes via my feeding tube and that is for life...i lost 125lbs on treatment and dry mouth from radiation is debilitating....all of this because a ''dr'' could not be bothered to listen to his patient with a nurse that even laughed in a patient's face.....
needless to say he is no longer my PCP but the damage of his shoddy work will be with me for life...

i apologize for this being so long but if i can save ONE person from this ''dr'' then it's worth it..
do whatever you can to avoid this ''dr'' at all costs...cos one of the costs could be your life...

by the way...i have never smoked anything ever in my life...my cancer came from HPV infection...something else that was ignored by this ''dr'' and his staff........
