I Have been a patient of Dr. Miller's for several years and have always had excellent care. He is caring and thorough. He places emphasis on prevention and maintaining good health. Excellent care!

To put it blatantly, this guy is a crappy, dishonest doctor. I was a patient of Dr. Miller from August to December 2013. Prior to coming to his office, I had been receiving allergy shots for the past three years from a doctor in Woodbridge, VA (A move precipitated the need to change doctors). During my initial meeting with Dr. Miller, I provided him with my allergy shot records and serum. I had one simple request, to maintain the exact same treatment plan the previous doctor had put into place. Dr. Miller agreed, but then turned around and did the exact opposite.

Approximately two-three months later, I noticed my allergy symptoms coming back. I began asking the nursing staff questions and discovered that the amount of serum they were giving me on a monthly basis was .3 cc. My previous doctor had been giving me 1 cc every month. The nursing staff admitted this was a significant difference. As I felt my heart begin to race and my face flushed red with anger, I summoned every ounce of self-restraint and asked the nurse why they had deviated from my previous treatment plan. She curtly responded, “Dr. Miller doesn’t give shots over .3 cc”. Apparently, this is a general office policy.

Let’s rewind a minute and go back to my initial meeting with Dr. Miller. The good doctor said he would continue my previous doctor’s treatment plan, had a list of all of my previous shots (to include the amount that was administered), and was very aware that I did not want to deviate from this plan. He knew what he was agreeing to, but sadly he blatantly lied to me and then railroaded my treatment plan to conform to what HE thought should happen. He never once mentioned the .3 cc office policy or that my previous treatment could not be accommodated due to this policy. Now let’s not get confused. I understand he runs his own practice and can implement whatever policies he wants, that’s fine. My grievance isn’t with his .3 cc office policy; my grievance is Dr. Miller told me he would continue my treatment plan and then turned around and drastically altered my treatment plan without notifying me before or after the fact. Getting specific, clear, and actionable information from the nursing staff was like pulling teeth.

As a side note, Dr. Rupal Trivedi and Dr. Barbara Mackie are partners with Dr. Miller and run their operations out of the same office. I’ve never had any interaction with them, but if their overall approach to honesty, communication, and patient care mirrors Dr. Miller’s….well STAY AWAY! Long wait times and a cramped waiting area add to the reasons to STAY AWAY! You’ve been warned…
