He is rude, condescending, and rushes through the appointment. He doesn't ask probing questions-just "what did the previous doctors prescribe? " . He doesn't know names of medications without looking at a book of medications. He also got offended and became condescending and dismissive when I told him that my specialist doctor told me to go off of the medication Dr. Potter had prescribed because it was harmful to me due to a surgery that I've had (and Dr. Potter knew that I have had). He did not take into consideration my medical history when prescribing medications to me, or how they would interact with my other medications. He was offended that I called my specialist to double check on the prescription instead of him, and immediately started rushing me out of my appointment even though I was in tears and trying to inform him that his rude attitude had hurt my feelings. I would not recommend my worst enemy to Dr. Potter. A member of his own staff informed me that she does not go to him, she wouldn't refer anyone to him, he's lost an extreme amount of patients, and she will be quitting... All because of his incompetence and beside manner.

This review is my personal opinion based on my experiences with Dr. Potter.

Dr. Potter is a very nice man, but he has made my life unlivable. I went to see him thinking that my GI symptoms might be based in an endocrine problem. He put me on a Thyroid medication even though all the tests said my thyroid function was fine. After a few days of taking the meds, I started experiencing terrible headaches, fogginess, forgetfulness, difficulty focusing, and constant pressure. I went back to see him and told him that based on the timing, it must be the Thyroid medication that is responsible. He ignored my concerns and rather than taking me off the meds, he UPPED the dosage instead. Trusting that he's a doctor and knows what he's doing, I took the increased dose. My symptoms got worse. I went back to my primary care doctor and he tested my Thyroid levels. He called me the second the tests came back and told me to stop taking them immediately. The meds had pushed me well into Hyperthyroidism. After I stopped taking the meds, the headaches went away completely for about three days. I was so relieved that it was finally over. Yeah, not so much. The meds had triggered chronic migraines that came back a few days later and have been plaguing me ever since. What used to be a manageable GI problem has now become unrelenting headaches that I can expect to suffer for the rest of my life. I'm so angry with myself for trusting Dr. Potter, but I'm far angrier with him for doing this to me. He ignored my concerns and now my life is hardly worth living. I always thought it might have been the Thyroid meds that caused this, but wasn't sure until my neurologist confirmed that the Thyroid medication caused a hormonal change that triggered the unrelenting headaches. What's worse, I'm not responding well to migraine medications and have basically run out of options. Dr. Potter's care took me from a manageable GI problem to a set of problems that have forced me to become a hermit. I can hardly leave the house and am in very real danger of losing all my friends, my hobbies, and my job. If I could give him less than 1/2 a star, I would. My life is getting less and less worth living and I'm so depressed I can barely function.

I would give absolutely ANYTHING to be able to go back in time and to have NEVER visited Dr. Potter at all.
