Pain on the radial side of the wrist at the base of the thumb frequently seen in new parents, grandparents and individuals involved in child care, from repeatedly lifting up small children causing inflammation of the tendons on the side of the wrist. This can be easily cured with a very minor procedure if injections, splinting and anti-inflammatories are unsuccessful.
