I've seen Dr. Vache for probably 5 years now. She takes great care of me, and gauges the length of time between appointments on how well I'm doing and on whether or not I need med changes. I have never needed the hospital since I have been with her, and have never needed to stay off work to "get it together." She responds to me quickly, and has even been available on a Saturday evening, when I was in dire need of her assistance. I have been to many, many psychiatrists over 40 years, and know the good and the bad. She has a warm bedside manner that is magically professional yet caring. She is fantastic with meds - as long as the patient is totally up front with her about symptoms. Remember, however, she is there to provide medical expertise (that is, medical intervention). If you feel she is not meeting your needs, it is likely that you are wanting the affective qualities that a psychotherapist would provide. Sometimes we need both - the medical expertise of someone as incredibly wise as Dr. Vache, and the personal connection with a therapist (who does not prescribe). Give Dr. Vache a chance. Commit to 6 months without psychiatrist-hopping. She can make a difference for you, if you let her into your world.
