** Some may say Im biased writing this review.. I will only write based on a medical stand point**
Dr. Robinson and his wife have been in my life since I was a young girl. He was my mothers doctor and delivered my little brother 22 years ago. The many years my mom had to take 3 of her children to her gyno appointments (Which he always made time for or fit her in.) he and his staff always made us feel at home and like family. Then some years later my sister and I started seeing him as his patients. He has also delivered 3 of my sisters babies as well. This man has always told it like it was... Never sugat coated anything. He has always made us feel like we were important to him. His wife always did too. As far as Having to wait to be seen.. Well he is also an OB which means he could be delivering a beautiful new baby. Which he has no control over and is far more important than any of our appointments. If he wasn't delivering a baby he would be at the office.. As this man is 100% dedicated to his patients. Also as far as his office being "messy" or unorganized... We must keep in mind how long he has been in that same location and also what a busy man he is. As far as his staff picking up or organizing. Can't speak on... But will say they've always found my files and I've never experienced any mishaps. If it works smoothly for them and meets dhecs requirements. Which it always had then Im ok with how it is. This man would do anything he can to help you. He's a great big teddy bear and Is a great doctor. The only reason I stopped seeing him was because I moved. If I still lived even the 45min ride away from downtown. He would be my doctor until he was done practicing. With all that said... And after reading others reviews. I wish some people would have an open mind and an open heart. Look from every angle. He truly is a one in a million type of doctor.. That honestly cares.

If zero stars was an option for Womens Primary and Dr Robertson, I'd give them a negative 5.

I started my pregnancy with a call to Dr Robertson's office downtown Charleston. When I arrived the place looked ransacked. I'd expect a Dr office to have a standard of cleanliness but this place clearly had none. I met with what I think was a nurse who had me sit at her desk which was covered in paper, pens, notes, etc, to answer questions. When I completed the questions she took my blood... at her desk, without gloves or sanitizer using tubes and the needle that was sitting on one of the afore mentioned papers.

After my checkup I was ushered into Dr Robertsons "office" which looked like a room from hoarders. Aside from being totally creeped out, I was told not to exercise (low risk and was roughly 7 weeks) because it would cause a miscarriage. After this experience I decided I would NEVER see Dr Robertson again.

Flash to almost 12 months later, I receive a call from a collection agent for Womens Primary for an outstanding FIVE DOLLARS!! This was actually paid, check cashed and I was never contacted about late payment. After receiving a call from the collection agent and providing the payment information, I contacted Womens Primary. I explained what happened, that I was in collections but the payment had already been made, and a woman asked for my name & number to pass along to billing. I asked if I could be transfered or given the number of the billing department and was told she didnt know it but would have to walk my message over.

Overall in complete amazement of the total lack of professionalism & competence of this hack Dr office. Steer clear!!!
