I saw this doctor for five years for subutex maintenance. He claims to be an addiction doctor but is unwilling to not only listen but give any idea or solutions to problems you may have. Unless you plan n spending the $160 for 15 minutes of his time, 10 of which he is typing and doesn't have time to answer questions I suggest you find someone else. On a side note: I have Always gotten along with everyone I come in contact with, out of the five years that I knew Doug he smiled once and that was because he was making fun of me. I will leave my name. It's Amy Barton and DOUG should find a different profession before you kill someone inadvertently. Oh, no, wait, there's no other profession where you can preterm

I cannot say strongly enough that this doctor should be avoided. I went to him with problems that proved to caused by a severe neurological problem, and saw him several times. He never took them seriously, but always pushed me to take antidepressants. I went to him with bladder problems, and pain and other clearly neurological symptoms. He refused to refer me to a neurologist or urologist, though I asked. (Regarding the bladder problem, he told me that there was no point, that there was nothing a urologist could do - which proved to be completely false.)

I finally left & found those doctors on my own (having the good fortune of having insurance that didn't require referrals). My problems all proved to have a single cause, easily identified in MRI & myelogram. Had I stayed with him, my problems would have grown progressively worse. (I'm withholding details because they would likely make it easy to identify me.)
