Cindy in the front office at Bridgeport is rude and should not be allowed to work with the public. I arrived for my appointment five minutes late and was told it would be over an hour before I could be seen since I wasn't on time. This office is always behind schedule no matter how early you arrive but this day was even worse than usual. The office was understaffed and had so many patients waiting to be seen. Anyone there could tell it was clearly an office problem and they were placing blame on patients by saying they were late etc...for their inability to run things as they should. Dr. Blatt then came out into the waiting room and in front of all the patients waiting told me that I needed to be on time from now on. It was the most unprofessional thing I have witnessed from a healthcare person in a public place. He should be ashamed of himself and not be allowed to practice medicine. He is rude, has a God complex and quite possibly little man syndrome. I knew the only reason he did it was because I "fired" him as my physician and would only be seen by his Nurse Practitioner for my monthly follow ups. I fired him because in a previous appointment he called me fat and told me that my pain was in my head. He suggested that I find a way to tolerate the pain, do "PLANKS" and that I just needed to move more and all would be right in the world. His lack of professionalism is astounding. If you do have the misfortune of getting stuck with him then beware, he might tell you the story of how his brother overcame his disabilities and pain and we all should be just like his brother. In fact he told this one to me twice without realizing he said the same regurgitated speech for his patient visits. I spared him the embarrassment and didn't mention it at the time but I regret that now. He was demeaning and arrogant on each occasion so I refused to be seen by him again. I guess his ego couldn't handle it. I work in healthcare and I can tell you this is one doctor and office you do not want to trust your care to. The only acceptable provider there is K. Johansen NP. She listens without judgement and seems to care the best she can. They seem limited in what they can offer for pain management options but I don't think that's her fault. Every human with breathe in their body whether 50 or 500 lbs deserves better treatment than Dr. Blatt will provide. He will continue to provide inhumane care if allowed and no one speaks up so I hope this helps even just one person decide to make a better choice if you have options. Dr. Blatt is no better than anyone else in this world but he sure thinks he is !

Every time I'm put on hold here I have to wait quite a while for them to get back to the call. Although I have had to wait longer at other places, I was still pretty unimpressed with their phone etiquette. I found the office, but only because I had simple, very clear directions. I wish it had been easier to locate. They made no attempt to follow up with me after my appointment. It isn't a big deal, but it does say something about the overall atmosphere of the office. The restrooms were very well-stocked at this provider's office. They always have toilet seat covers, paper towels and toilet paper and never run out.
