As a Medical Neurologist myself, Dr. Henry J. Elsner is the BEST neurosurgeon in the Greensboro, NC area -- that is why I referred MYSELF to him and his group years ago. Dr. Elsner has operated on me close to a dozen times for a progressive spinal deterioration of both my neck and back, but he is also an excellent neurosurgeon for brain tumors, blood clots, and aneurysms, in addition to traumatic injuries to the head, neck, the back, or peripheral nerves . He has formed a rather large neurosurgical multi-specialty group, and he will refer patients to the neurosurgeon that he believes is the BEST doctor in his group to treat any condition that requires neurosurgery. If surgery is not needed, Dr. Elsner will refer to a Medical Neurologist, or whomever he considers to be the best physician or therapist to treat any neurological condition. His group's name has changed from Guilford Neurosurgery to Vanguard Brain and Spine, and NOW : "Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine". In my opinion, you could not find a more knowledgeable, medically-competent, and personally compassionate neurosurgeon than Henry Elsner.
