This review is not about the Doctors specifically but more about the practice in general. The following is a letter that I sent them:

I would like to file a complaint with your office. As a mother of 4 children the eldest being 18, my 11 year old has developmental delays, and I also have an 8 year old and a 5 year old as well. I find myself unhappy with the flexibility and ease of appointment scheduling with your office, and impersonal environment. I have lived in the monroe area for 9 years. For the last 8 years I have kept my children with their former pediatrician in the BRONX despite living in Orange county. Why would I do that? I have taken my children to the same pediatrician since my eldest son was 2 years old. He knew my children by their name. He knew their specific issues without having to look at their charts.
Also, as my household is comprised of 2 WORKING parents like many other modern families, having weekend and evening availability is very important. My former pediatrician was always able to accomodate my children with ease on weekends and evenings. The only reason why I HAD to switch pediatricians was because he retired. Now to your practice. Everytime I have to take my children they see a different doctor. The doctor doesn't know my kids. There is no opportunity for the provider to form a bond. That is important, especially with a child who has disabilities who needs to trust his doctor and who needs a doctor to understand his specific issues. Everytime I go I have to explain over again. In addition the ease of scheduling an appointment is horrendous. In order for me to get an evening or Saturday appointment I have to wait until November when I tried scheduling in September. My 18 year old son needed an MMR in order to go to college. The deadline was close and I asked if there was any time that he could come in just for the shot alone. Your office staff was unwilling to accomodate him and seemed apathetic to my issue. I called Crytal Run and they were able to see him the VERY NEXT DAY and gave him a complete physical. Needless to say, he has switched to Crystal Run going forward. Another instance, I had an appointment for today at 2:15p.m. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances I had an issue because no one was going to be home to pick up one of my children at 3 p.m. and no one was going to be home to get him off of the bus. I explained to the ladies at the front desk my dilemma and asked if there were any way they could accomodate me or think of an alternative solution but they again, were very apathetic even though I explained to them that I took the day off of work in order to bring my children to the appointment. They could think of no way that they could accomodate me. Unfortunately I think that I will have to switch my other 3 children's healthcare provider to another location and am very disappointed. I hope that you could use this information to improve your practice for other patients in the future.
