Dr. Hashim answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Not to be xenophobic, but his accent is very thick, and I often had to ask him to repeat himself, and sometimes I just had to give up on figuring out what he was saying.

After several visits, Dr. Hashim still seems to have little recollection of my medical history, and relies heavily on his notes to remind him what he's prescribed for me in the past, and also, what I've tried before he began seeing me. Another rather disconcerting issue was that he continues to misremember my profession. If it had just been once a visit that I had to correct his misunderstanding, that would be one thing. However, several times, I've had to correct him multiple times throughout a single visit.

Additionally, it takes an incredibly long time to be seen. The past two visits I waited upwards of 90 minutes. The visit before it was 75. The first visit, I only waited 30 minutes, which at the time seemed excessive.

My last issue with Dr. Hashim himself is that he's not forthcoming with important information, and it seems taxing for him to remember a list of dangerous side effects to watch out for any time he's prescribed a new drug. Also, I've had to request the prescriptions for standard lab tests that should be performed prior to starting certain medications. And, once I even had to remind him that although a certain sleep aid had worked for me in the past, prescribing it now would be dangerous because it has been known to cause lethal complications when mixed with another medication that he had begun prescribing for me, which I had not been on before.

With all that said, Dr. Hashim is a caring, humorous doctor, and a pleasure to be around. And, even if it's becoming difficult for him to access his vast amount of pharmacological knowledge, it does seem that he is incredibly knowledgeable. Furthermore, he has perfected my drug cocktail, which has been a 3 year struggle. I've only been seeing him for 3 months.

Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. The staff seemed confused most of the time, and were much more polite over the phone than in person. I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I'll probably be going back, but just because medical care in general in Buffalo is so poor, it seems likely I would end up worse off if I switched.
