When I could not tolerate the prep for the procedure, I was told I needed to make a special appointment to discuss the prep procedure, and i had to pay the co-pay again. The information given to me could have been done on the phone. The day of the procedure, I expected conscious sedation, as was described to me. I was not concious for the procedure, and I don't know why there was a last minute change of plans. As a matter of fact, Dr Orris never really eaxplained what drugs would be used and what there side effects could be.

After the procedure I was ill. For a 7:30am appointment, I could not leave the hospital until Noon. Prior to the procedure I did ask if there were any reported problem with the drugs they would use, the Dr said No, However my opportunity to ask him questions was only after i was in the procedure room. And when he was talking to me he was sitting across the room with his face in the computer, not standing next to me and talking to me. I think this is called poor bedside manner. This interaction alone will cause me to want a new Dr. if I ever do this again.
