Saw Dr. Hendrix for about 4 years and was never really fond of her because she is a strange lady with odd mannerisms but never had any huge issues with her. I was mainly concerned with getting my meds which were working for me. This was up until a few months ago I had a joint aptmt with my sister who is also a patient. we decided to go together to save time. In the session, she downplayed the gravity of a really tough situation my 17 yo sister had been going through, and when I voiced my disagreement she blatantly insulted me in front of my sister and my mother. I said that the comment was uncalled for and she basically told me that I would be ignored by her and expected an apology at the end of the session!! Now, before you think I am being unreasonable, it's more than this single incident. She is extremely judgmental, she gets offended when you show up late, even though she shows up late for morning appointments. Don't even slightly disagree with her because she will argue with you. When I told her about my job, she even told me I couldn't possibly work at [a certain well known home improvement store] because I am female, which i just laughed at. I could deal with all of this, but to blatantly disrespect me because you feel a sense of entitlement in which you can say whatever and not get called out on it, that's when I draw the line. That day she crossed the line because it wasn't enough that she was only mildly rude on a regular basis, she also needed to be straight up controversial. Quite frankly if you just want to get your meds and get out and you can deal with her patronizing behavior and a borderline social disorder, maybe, just maybe you will be fine with her. If you don't like being sassed or judged constantly, and you prefer someone who is professional, go elsewhere. Again this is coming from someone who was not put off by her behavior until 4 years worth of visits, but even I say she is way out of line. The 1/2 star is only because she had Sunday hours.

Her receptionist is awfully rude. If you complain they threaten you. She is just bad for business which after all what a private practice dr. Is. A business. I would not recommend this office period.
