Dr. Reiner's advice killed my mother. My mom fell down the stairs and was having a serious problem with extreme pain in her legs and feet. She could hardly walk. We thought she had broken her foot. My sister and I took her to have an x-ray. Dr. Reiner was rude and miserable, to our mother and to his staff that day. He seemed annoyed that we were there. The x-ray didn't show anything. He checked her feet and said there wasn't a pulse. (Now we know how serious that should have been). He told our mom to keep socks on and to see her family doctor. We asked him if we should take her right to a vascular specialist and he said no! He said her family doctor may be able to treat it with medication. He then told us we didn't have to go right then but for her to be seen within a week. Long story short, she was in so much pain and we had to wait to see the family doctor. Just getting her to leave the house was an ordeal. But....she was seen before the week was up. As soon as her family doctor saw her foot he called a vascular surgeon and we had to take her right there. It gets so much worse.......After he examined our mom, he took us in another room and told us how bad it was. He said she was going to at least lose her foot. My sister and I were in shock, I then asked if a week could have made a difference and he said Yes! That was January 6, 2009. Our mom DIED on January 10th! Now we know better, but too late! If there is no pulse, that is an emergency and Dr. Reiner should have told us to go straight to the emergency room, but he DIDN'T! And our mom paid the price for that advice and we did too! PLEASE do NOT trust this man! By the time our mom was seen by "professionals" it was discovered that a blood clot broke in her fall and traveled down her legs and was killing her, very painfully! WE still suffer from the guilt of trusting a doctor that was not trust worthy! Educate yourself and do not trust that just because someone has the title "Doctor" that he, in this situation can or should be trusted! We could have taken him to court. We could have filed against him, and now I wish so much that we did but at the time we were going through so much emotionally and losing our mom that way was so horrible. That was 2009 and to this day the pain is still there and this man should not be practicing!
