Still traumatized because as a child (around age 9) he actually slapped me when I tried to itch my chin. I remember the dental assistant saying, just try to stop crying and it will be ok. He was so angry that I was crying, he took me to this room in the back, strapped me down in a chair and put a mask on my face. I also remember him saying - get the mother!
Awful does not fully describe it.

George Carlin once did a bit about how there is the worst provider out there in every field (i.e. Doctor, lawyer, etc) and how YOU have an appointment with him tomorrow. Dr. Betz falls into that category. I don't know how I put up with his cold personality and primitive people skills all those years.
The previous reviewer was correct. He slapped my brother (then maybe 4 or 5) with a glove to get him to stop crying. They do make the parents wait in the waiting room until the horrible process has completed. I wish I had said something then but I think most of his patients were afraid. He should be shut down.
