On one visit, he looked at x-rays and was going to work on wrong tooth. Hygienist had to correct "No, doctor, it's this tooth." Hugely intimidating, not caring or accomodating. Made an appointment to have a painful tooth pulled. When we arrived for appointment, tooth no longer hurt. Had to talk dentist out of pulling tooth. They made us feel guilty because they had set the time aside (rather than care how we felt.) On a later visit, they say to us, it's a good thing that THEY decided not to pull the tooth that day, because it would've been the wrong tooth. Recently went to have a front crown replaced, after wearing a porcelain crown for the last 40 years that looked so good, few people knew it was a crown. It well protected the underlying tooth. Crown does not go up into the gums far enough, so have sensitively and potential for decay and losing the tooth within a year. Tooth looks grey and dead. Several friends, acquaintances and dentists have agreed, even Stephan's own staff has a look on their faces of guilt, knowing dentist picked the wrong color. When allowed to view crown, it was in a dark room, and he puts a flashlight behind the tooth, which of course also didn't have adhesive yet. So, once installed, with out the light, and now with adhesive under it, it looks terrible. Dentist just shrugged his shoulders, and rolled his eyes in disgust with our concerns over how bad it looked. Do NOT go to this dentist!!!!! The staff puts on a very convincing yet FAKE air of caring and friendship.
