What a horrible horrible man with an atrocious bedside manner. I took my kids here because I was told it was the only option for Medicaid patients over 8 years of age. He was rude and very awful to my 9 and 10 year old. He told my 10 year old she was being a baby and that all her teeth would have to just rot. My 9 year old needed to have two teeth pulled; Dr. Whitehead knew the teeth were abscessed and could have put him on an antibiotic to help with that but instead pulled them without and when the teeth were not numb he said "because the infection is there the numbing will not take". After a horrible experience for my son leaving him in tears - Dr. Whitehead said "well that cost me 5 years off my life, I didn't become a dentist to deal with this kind of stuff". There are other options, do not take your children here.
They make sure to treat all their clients equally and without favoritism. I've always hated it when I've seen favoritism going on at other places I've visited. It's nice that it doesn't happen here. The staff really knows what they're doing, and they know a lot about the company they work for. They're able to answer most of my questions, and the only ones they don't are the ones they need their boss's approval for. I do not agree with the way they do business here, it is always their way or the highway. They are so uncooperative if a customer complains and are never willing to admit if they are wrong. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. Everything they told me in the beginning ended up turning out exactly the way they said it would. They were able to provide me everything they promised me. I've never doubted their abilities.
I knew that I was going to be in a little bit of pain after my appointment, it happens every time I go to the dentist. It wasn't excessive at all though, and it went away pretty quickly. All the equipment at this office seems very safe and current. Everything looks well taken care of and fairly new. It was very noticeable that they practiced good oral hygiene themselves. If it wasn't obvious I probably would've doubted that they were any good, but I could tell right away. It's really important to me to have a comfortable chair to sit in during my dental procedure, and their chairs were very comfortable. It was nice to be able to be comfortable during my entire procedure. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up.
