Dr. Prehn and his staff have solved a major issue with poor fitting sleep masks by creating a custom fitted mask for me. Gone are the nights fighting to keep an ill fitting masks or nasal pillows in perfect place so I could wake in the morning trying to convince myself that I got a good nights sleep. It was a constant fight night after night. Then I received my custom made and fitted masked created by Dr. Prehn. The difference was night and day. When I think of the years I struggled changing from one generic mask or nasal pillows to another, each resulting in continued frustration. I have been a patient of Dr. Prehn's for over 5 years and just recently had my second mask created. Yes, they do wear out eventually and when your in compliance, your appliance will need to be replaced. The soft plastic masks and nasal pillows are typically replaced every 6 months. So if you average out expenses between the two different appliances they work out to about the same. My insurance covered this completely.
