The front office staff at Dental Center West was helpfull, friendly, and very comfortable. The hygenest was excellent. My appointment was with Dr. McGahee, but I was seen by another dentist, earlier because of cancellations. It is very unfortunate that the office coordinator was so horrible. She was condesending and degrading when I asked to see Dr. McGhee on my next visit. Even though I explained to her that I have a complicated medical condition, she refused to make the appointment, stateing that all of the dentists are equally qualified. Then when I questioned the recommended (drastic) treatment, she suggested I go to a clinic on Broad St in Augusta, and then gave me inflated prices for the alternate procedure. I have to say that it's been a very long time since I have encountered anyone this immature (still employed)in a work setting. Everyone coming into the office for dental work must see this woman in order to make additional appointments. It's just not worth the hastle! They are the only one's that take my insurance within 50 miles, so I suppose I'll be driving to Columbia, or cancelling my insurance plan.
