This was the worst dental experience I've had, ever. We started with this office a year ago when my insurance changed. I'll be going back to the old pediatric dentist even though we have to pay out of pocket.

The office IS clean and bright, has a video game in the waiting room and movies playing. So if that's what matters to you, you might be happy there. However, based on what they did to the soft tissue at the base of my daughter's palate, it doesn't appear that they hire experienced or well trained hygienists. Waiting time is unpredictable. At the first cleaning we waited more than half an hour after the cleaning was done for an insecure-seeming young dentist to come in and spend two minutes looking at their teeth. And if your kids end up with more than one cavity due to wearing braces or just soft enamel, expect to have them drag those appointments out a ridiculous amount of time.

The third strike came today. As another reviewer mentioned, they will only fill one cavity at a time. They will also only make one appointment at a time, no matter how many cavities need to be filled, because, you "might not show up" (per the dour older lady at the desk). Now that's a sign of respect for your clientele, isn't it? As if they couldn't fill remaining appointments if the first one was a no-show; they're scheduling months out!

Since you wait 6 - 8 weeks for an appointment and they will only schedule one at a time, they stretch it out as long as possible to ensure those cavities identified while they are small get bigger as you wait.

I guess I should have asked more questions when I mentioned going to this office at another dental practice and she told me that I might not like it since they "take all insurance." I didn't understand why that would be a problem and thought the person who said it was being a little prejudice. Now I understand that it's not the patient population she was referring to, but the way the office treats their patients as a result of their apparent prejudice.

It certainly appears to be all about what they can get from the insurance company, whether it's private or public insurance, rather than the best interest of the patient.

I will pay out of pocket at my old dentist rather than ever subject my children to this office again. (Amazingly, after I left their office today I called hers and managed to get an appointment for my girls next week, not next year as it likely would have been at Children's Dental health Associates in Downingtown/Thorndale.) Switching to this office was definitely a huge mistake!
