If you live in the Bedford PA area, this is pretty much the only orthodontist available. I've been seeing him for two years. For the most part I was happy with my service. They did pay attention to detail and the nurses are great. The nurses always told me if I had a problem with braces to come back in and they would look at it and correct it. But Dr. Reed occasionally seemed to take offense and become irritated if I pointed out a problem I had, contradictory to what the nurses said. My goal was never to irritate him, simply make sure that my 4000 wasn't paid in vain. :) Before my first visit, the nurses all assured me that he would work with me until I was happy. He would, but it was hard to achieve because he was often very rushed and would occasionally get irritated at questions and several times made rude comments. There were many times that I just resigned to being quiet so as not to irritate him. I was often somewhat uneasy during my appointment. I thought that everyone on the staff was very nice and friendly tho. I did feel welcomed by them during my visit. It was nice of them to offer some sample toothbrushes and toothpaste for me to take home. If you need an othordontist, he will get the job done, just choose your words carefully if you have a problem. My biggest concern was that this type of attitude could be detrimental to young children. And again, it didn't happen often, but in the two years it's happened often enough that I knew to tread lightly.
