As with many dental insurance companies, customers/ patients do not receive coverage cards; you are supposed to provide your social security number and the dentist's office is to call and get further billing information. I am with Delta Dental which is a well-known dental insurance company. When I arrived to my appointment I was told by, who I believe to be the LPN, that they were unable to help me without a coverage card. I asked if she could get me the 800 number online and I would call myself and again she would not help, in fact she sat there dumb-found. I was told I needed to drive the 45 minutes home, get the information, and reschedule. I obviously have been to dentists before and have never had the problems I had with this facility. I never got the chance for Dr. Livingston to see me so I can't rate his performance. As for his staff, most patients coming in have a high level of anxiety and it would be nice if they treated them with a little understanding and respect.

I have filed a formal complaint with Delta Dental.
