My first visit to Soundview Dental was at 7:00 PM on a Monday night. This appt. time pleased me to no end as I work full time and in the past I frequently had to take vacation days to see the dentist. I didn't know what to expect so late in the evening and was so surprised to find this beautiful, brightly lit, cheerful office buzzing with activity. Lots of employees working, moving around from room to room all of whom seemed quite happy and pleasantly greeted me. The receptionist-Mike- was everything you would want someone in that position to be: friendly, helpful, accomodating, funny!, just overall a very very nice man. The hygenists Kathy and Nancy were both so kind and sweet and gentle and extremely knowledgeable with all my questions. Now-the best part-they have this gel stuff they rub on your gums before your cleaning and you don't feel a thing. I have been traumatized by dental visits my whole life b/c of my sensitive teeth and exposed gumline. After having this gel I didn't feel a thing. It was utterly amazing. The hygenist said I was done and I said but you didn't do the back teeth but she did and I just didn't feel it b/c gums were so numb. After the cleaning Dr. Birkmire came in. A highly energetic, positive, clearly brilliant and warm and lovely dentist. He showed me my x rays and went over the issues with every tooth in my mouth while I looked at my teeth up close in a large mirror. He was wonderful. Then I received a large bag of goodies for being a new customer including a great new travel coffee mug. This first visit went just so well and made such a positive impression on me that I wondered if the second visit would be a let down but no... Now my appt was at 8:00 AM on a Saturday. Once again the office was lively and full of energy... I was efficiently whisked from room to room as they prepared my pre novocain numbing gel. Dr. Birkmire was extremely attentive to me and did all he could to allay my fear and panic at this cavity. He was very caring and sweet. The lovely woman who assisted him talked to me through the whole procedure and made sure I was comfortable. All went well and once again I felt nothing at all. Caivity complete and I was on my way. Mike wanted to know if I wanted to book my next 6 month appt. This place is crazy efficient and crazy good. If you have a terrible fear of dentists or if you don't have any fear of dentists you must come to this office. It's awesome.

The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately. When I left my appointment, my mouth felt cleaner than it's ever felt. They did such a fantastic job. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. I was amazed at how wonderfully they treated each of their staff members. They were so appreciative and thankful. I've never seen any employer treat their staff better, and it made me want to come back that much more.
