Raised in Yonkers, Dr. Viana received his Bachelor of Science degree from Manhattan College in 1977. In 1981, he graduated from Columbia University School of Dentistry with honors. Dr. Viana has received advanced post-doctoral training in cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics and dental pharmacology.

Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, oral cancer screening, periodontal probing and gum disease evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Dental x-rays are taken as needed to diagnose your current dental condition. We will then discuss your treatment options that will satisfy your particular needs.
Dental Implants
We can perform implants for a single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, or to replace a removable appliance. The procedure requires a number of visits over several months.
Tooth Whitening
We make teeth whitening a gentle procedure with our Opalescence tooth whitening systems.
Crowns and Veneers
You can have a new smile with all-porcelain crowns or veneers on anterior teeth. For the posterior teeth, the latest technology in porcelain and PFM crowns are utilized to insure a beautiful, natural-looking smile. Veneers can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many dental conditions. Both procedures usually requires two visits. Afterwards, you will be given care instructions and encouraged to have regular dental visits to check your new crown or veneer.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
We use tooth-colored resin fillings that are cured to match your teeth. If an amalgam filling shows in your smile, we can replace it with a tooth-colored resin filling. The fillings are usually placed in one appointment.
Dental Prostheses
For patients who are missing multiple teeth, we can fabricate full dentures or partial dentures. We also offer flexible dentures which contain no metal and provide a better aesthetic option for our patients. This procedure requires several appointments, usually over several weeks. Highly accurate impressions (molds) and measurements are taken and used to create your custom denture. Several appointments may be necessary in order to ensure proper shape, color and fit. At the final appointment, your dentist will precisely adjust and place the completed denture, ensuring a natural and comfortable fit.

Dr. Viana also specializes in treating infants, children and teens in a warm and friendly office setting.
