About

David Greene, DMD

The origins of our practice date back to 1986, with Dr. David Greene’s vision for an oral surgery center that would provide the highest quality of care with compassion and in an environment of open-communication and trust. It was behind this idea that our first home opened in that year at 76 Northeast Boulevard in Nashua.

As is often the case, time passed in the blink-of-an-eye and by 1998, we had outgrown our starting space. With excitement and hard work, we designed and completed our current state-of-the-art office at 39 Simon Street, which opened in 2000. The new facility has provided us not only with more comfort and flexibility, but also with the ability to grow further and to implement new projects and current technologies.

In 2001, Dr. Torio joined the team by way of Boston, where he had completed his dental and medical training at Harvard University and his oral surgery residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital. With shared principles and a shared vision, the Greene & Torio OMS partnership was established in 2004. With Dr. Torio came new energy and new ideas, and today we continue to be at the forefront of oral surgery care.

Dr. Torio’s arrival also translated into growth in the size of one of our most valued assets, our staff. We strongly believe that it is only through advanced education and attention to detail of our entire staff, that we can achieve clinical excellence and care with compassion.

Although much has changed since the inception of our practice, we continue to strive to uphold these principles and to elevate our standards of care so we may better serve you. Our hope for the future is that we can continue to grow and continue to implement the life-long process of learning and self-improvement. We always welcome your feed back, and we thank you for your patronage.

Services Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) is a healthcare specialty with both dental and medical components. After four years of dental education, an oral surgeon will spend up to six years completing his/her surgical training in medicine, surgery, and anesthesiology. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, we treat a wide variety of conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, bone and soft tissues of the face. These include dentoalveolar surgery (such as wisdom tooth extraction), dental implant surgery, minor and major bone grafting, and orthognathic and reconstructive jaw surgery. Our scope of care also includes diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology (lesions and tumors of the mouth and jaws) and the management of maxillofacial trauma and facial pain. Anesthesia is a core element of our training and our daily practice. We are licensed to provide patients with conscious and deep sedation and general anesthesia in the office setting. Having extensive medical and anesthesia training allows oral surgeons to understand the impact of systemic conditions on anesthesia and surgery and to manage these conditions along with the help of primary care physicians and other medical specialists, in the perioperative period. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Greene last month. While I was slightly nervous for the procedure, Dr. Greene and his staff were amazing and the entire thing went off without a hitch.

PROS:

-Very professional, skillful oral surgeon who is honest, friendly and caring. He treats patients as more than just “a next appointment.” Follows up with patients and is attentive to their needs.
-Competent, pleasant staff
-Patients are provided with honest information and assistance
-Staff on-hand to work out financial/insurance matters
-Reasonably-priced/honest
-State-of-the-art dental equipment decreases patient discomfort (their dental x-rays are taken with a device that does not require biting down on painful inserts- this made me :) )
-Clean, comfortable office
-One of the best medical/oral practices that I've ever been to

CONS:

I can't think of a single negative, which is honestly rare in the medical industry today.
