Ronald Gaitros, Oral Surgeon

Established in 1975, Carolinas Oral & Facial Surgery Center combines a well established reputation with a very progressive approach to medical dentistry. The three surgeons of COFSC are all board certified and specialty trained and divide their time between our Wilmington, Whiteville and Jacksonville offices.

Dr. Gaitros received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating summa cum laude. He was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago and did his internship at Cook County Hospital. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery while concurrently earning a Master's Degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at UNC, Dr. Gaitros was involved in extensive studies in bone healing, and he completed comprehensive research at Kiel, Germany.

Wonderful visit! They were able to get me in short notice, they took great care of me, everyone there was very professional. Hopefully I won't have to go back again but I will return to them for any future dental needs!
