I went to Dr. Stines office recently. She is beyond a doubt the best dentist in the county. She even teaches at the UNC dental school. She is very capable and her office is very modern.

After several visits, I chose to not return to her office. The staff, although very nice, is extremely loud and unprofessional. Dr. Stines is not punctual. I had an 0830 appointment one morning and she didn't even enter the building until 0905. I received some very poor quality work and am now having it redone at another facility. Her poor workmanship has now required me to have oral surgery and the expense is outrageous. Her website is impressive and her experience seems to be more than adequate. However, my experiences at her office have sent me elsewhere. I'm sure for routine care: checkups, cleanings, etc, her staff and she are more than compentent. I would exercise caution in doing any extensive dental work at her office. Perhaps, I am just that one-in-a-million case that had a bad experience at her office. I'm sure that happens. But, after four visits, I will not be returning and will encourage my family members to go elsewhere as well.
