I am a parent who vaccinates and usually does what they want, but I refused to fill out their dumb developmental survey, since my insurance doesn't cover it and I dont want to pay a medical assistant with a high school education to review my survey at a cost of $26. The doctor was rude and told me I needed to either fill it out or take my business elsewhere. They use the developmental survey as a way to generate more revenue, since most insurance covers it as a part of the well child check up. Another time, I thought my son might have an ear infection since he was fussy, but I thought he might just be having a bad day. His well child check was 5-6 days away, so I called and asked if he could receive his vaccines if he was healthy, so I wouldnt have to take my 6 month old out twice in one week in January. The girl on the phone assured me that they would allow him to be vaccinated. When I got to the doctor, she said no way and I ended up having to pay for two visits and take my 6 month old out into single digit degree weather twice. I just called to make my daughter an appointment and I waited on the phone for 15 minutes before anyone answered. I asked the nurse how much the doctor visit was going to cost, and her reply was, "well, don't you have insurance?" I told her that I did, but that I still wondered how much it was going to cost since I pay 100% until my deductible is met. I feel that this doctor runs their office to suck every dollar they can out of each patient, and most patients are clueless since they have good insurance and don't care.

I couldn't believe how encouraging and supportive they were. They never ridiculed or dismissed my opinions on parenting issues, and were always so considerate. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places.
