Grandaughter went to Dr. Busch for a toothache. He numbed her with novocaine and when he started working on her tooth, she could still feel pain. He did an x-ray of tooth and told her she needed a route canal. Since she was already given novocaine, she asked if he could do it right then and he said "no", you have to pay first. Being 18, she has excellent dental insurance but not $800 cash. So he rescheduled an appt for her at a later date. She returned to have the route canal done with money in hand. After Dr. Busch completed the route canal, several days passed and my grandaughter was still having pain. Gut feeling told me to seek a second opinion, which I did. Grandaughter went to new dentist who discovered Dr Busch had performed an incomplete route canal and had not cleaned out the bacteria properly. The dentist proceeded to take photographs and x-rays and cleaned out the tooth and put temporary filling in and referred her to an Endodontist to redo the route canal. An appt was made with the Endodontist but couldn't get in until a week later. In the meantime, grandaughter is suffering from the pain and I had to take her to the E.R. She was given an antibiotic and Vicodin but nothing touched her pain. Had to call Endodontist for emergency route canal and they took her in right away after learning about her visit to E.R. They discovered that one of the canals had not been properly cleaned and that the route canal filling done by Dr. Busch had not been cemented in and bacteria had gone into her bone. They gave her another antiobiotic to be taken with other antibiotic she was already taking, 800 mg Motrin to be taken with Vicodin. Please go to www.michigan.gov/health.com where you can see Dr. Busch's license. You will find all the info you need to make your own judgement!
