I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I would definitely hesitate due to the fact that my experience was sub-par. I was a new patient and they got me in within two days for a fractured tooth because it was irratating my tongue (actually I had three fractured teeth and knew all of them would need crown build-ups and crowns before I went in) and they scheduled me an appointment to have the one tooth fixed within two weeks; However, when they confirmed my appointment two days prior, I asked if Dr. Verma could just do the crown build-ups on all three teeth at this appointment because if I had just the crown build-up and crown on this one tooth, I wouldn't be able to afford to have the other ones treated for several months and was concerned about the other two fracturing even further. The person who does the insurance was the one I spoke to about this and she said she would talk to Dr. Verma, she never called back and left it to the receptionst to tell me Dr. Verma indicated "we are not on the same page" and I was being "dismissed" from the practice the next day. In addition, the insurance person likes to openly brag that she has been taking care of dental insurance for five years and basically told me I was incorrect about what the insurance would and wouldn't pay for, etc. However, I work in the dental department of my insurance carrier and tried to discuss what treatment they would and would not pay, i.e. she indicated they wouldn't pay for crown build-ups unless done on the same day as the crown and said if Dr. Verma did this then I would have to pay for all of the crown build-ups out of pocket (even though they are participating and goes against their contract). I even indicated I was willing to do this because I did check with our utilization department and the provider manual and they would cover them and they didn't have to be done in conjunction with the crown prep (maybe this is why I was dismissed??). In any event, with the cost of dentistry being so high even with dental insurance I could not believe the office would not work with me on this (while not an ideal situation and it's no guarantee the teeth would not fracture further, it could help stablize them). Also, my feeling is if I'm being given incorrect insurance information and nicely let the office know that I did check with my insurance and they still tell me I'm wrong, how many other unsuspecting patients are being mis-informed about their insurance coverage. Bottom line, my request was not unreasonable nor was it contrary to established dental principles. I was never unpleasant nor disrespectful even when I knew I was given misinformation about insurance and when I was "dismissed" like an errant child. This office has the "my way or the highway" policy and it's not acceptable. I've been associated with the dental field for almost 35 years and worked in private dental practices; I never worked for one where patients were treated this way.
